TIC VERSUS TICK
Here is my Rule of Thumb for the confusion between Tic and Tick that we face in our transcription world. We can easily identify and remember where to use which one.
TIC: Here the C stands for CONTRACTIONS of Muscles (INVOLUNTARY). For neurological or musculoskeletal files where there is a mention of involuntary contraction or twitching of muscles .... use TIC.

TICK: Here the K stands for the two antennae of the insect or bug.
